Where are you located?

Sessions are offered in a private massage office at 6118 SE Belmont St near Mt Tabor. You will receive access instructions after booking.

How does integrative bodywork differ from a regular massage?

Integrative bodywork goes beyond traditional massage by incorporating multiple healing modalities into a single, personalized session. While massage might be a component, I also draw from techniques like polarity therapy, reflexology, craniosacral therapy, and energy work.

Is this a substitute for medical treatment?

While integrative bodywork can be a powerful complement to your overall wellness plan, it is not a substitute for medical treatment. Always consult with your healthcare provider for medical conditions.

What if I have more questions?

Reach out and I'll be happy to answer. I'm interested to hear more about the kind of care you're looking for and learn if we're a good fit for each other.

How can I prepare for my session?

Here are some tips to help you get the most out of your session:

  • Wear comfortable, loose-fitting clothes.
  • Try to arrive a few minutes early to allow time to settle.
  • Avoid eating a heavy meal right before the session.
  • If you're comfortable, make a list of any areas of concern or questions you have.
  • Remember that there's no need to shave, style your hair, or wear makeup for your session.
  • Mentally prepare to turn off your phone or put it in Do Not Disturb mode before the treatment.

Most importantly, come as you are. Your comfort is what matters most.

How do you ensure accessibility in your practice?

My goal is to make my services as accessible as possible.

  • There are no steps. You'll take an elevator to the office.
  • I offer a sliding scale payment option to make services more financially accessible.
  • I use unscented oil or lotion for massage-focused treatments. I'll always ask before using essential oils.
  • All information can be provided in written form if you prefer.
  • I want to know your specific needs - please reach out. I'll do what I can to meet them.

How do you work with highly sensitive people?

My approach is designed to create a safe, nurturing space that respects your sensitivity while fostering healing and self-discovery.

  • The treatment room is designed as a calm, low-stimulation environment with soft lighting to prevent sensory overload.
  • I use a gentle, intuitive approach that respects your deep empathy and sensitivity to subtle energies.
  • Sessions are flexibly paced, incorporating quiet moments to allow for processing and prevent overwhelm.
  • I offer techniques to help manage energy levels and maintain boundaries, both during sessions and in daily life.
  • For those who find touch overwhelming, we can begin with off-body energy work and gradually adjust based on your comfort.
  • All aspects of the session can be customized - from pressure to pacing to conversation level - based on your needs that day.
  • I'm always open to feedback and adjustments during the treatment to ensure you feel safe and comfortable throughout our work together.

What should neurodivergent clients know about your services?

I strive to create a neurodivergent-friendly space. Here's what you can expect:

  • Clear, direct communication about the process.
  • Flexibility in session structure to meet your specific needs.
  • Respect for your sensory preferences (touch pressure, room temperature, etc.).
  • Option for a detailed session walk-through in advance.
  • No judgment or pressure - your comfort is the priority.

How can bodywork help with burnout?

Bodywork can be a powerful tool in managing burnout:

  • It promotes deep relaxation, helping to reset your stress response.
  • Massage can alleviate physical tension associated with chronic stress.
  • Energy work may help restore balance to your system.
  • Regular sessions can be part of a self-care routine, supporting overall well-being.
  • The nurturing touch can help reconnect you with your body, often neglected during burnout.

Remember, while bodywork can be very beneficial, it's not a substitute for medical treatment. I'm happy to work in conjunction with your healthcare providers.

How can I reschedule/cancel an appointment?

Use the link in your email or calendar appointment to reschedule or cancel.

While I prefer not to penalize last-minute cancellations (life happens), please be mindful that abrupt changes can impact my routine and peace of mind. Your consideration is greatly appreciated.
